    Call me constant

    I want to be

    in your memory

I need more than I want

And any doubts that lie within you

are the doubts that keep you true.

jWIN JL-707 Projection & LED Alarm Clock Radio (Giftbox)A little over a year ago I needed a new alarm clock. I have a shelf on my headboard where I keep my alarm clock, so it’s easy to reach, and I keep pillows leaned up against the headboard, which keeps it out of site. This helps keep my room looking uncluttered, but when I wake up, and want to know what time it is, I have to move the pillows aside to see the clock, not very desirable. While I was looking through the variety of alarm clocks on Amazon, I stumbled across the jWIN JL-707 Projection & LED Alarm Clock Radio. This alarm clock/radio is similar to most, in that it displays the time with a display on the front, but it also has an LED projector built in that projects the time on a wall or ceiling. This works great for me, I have it project onto the ceiling right above my pillow. Read more…

When I was a kid I remember having Zucchini Casserole. I haven’t found that recipe, but I saw this one on AllRecipe.com that has Zucchini, and sounded good. They specified it as a side dish for a Mexican meal. I was looking more for a main dish, so I added chicken to it. It turned out great, so good I ate it all in two meals (not doing so good controlling my portions these days!). When I make it again, I’m going to change it a bit. I’ll reduce the Zucchini and cheese to 1 lb each. I’ll cook the vegetables a little less, so they are a little firmer. Then, after mixing in the first half of the cheese, I’d put everything into a casserole dish, put the rest of the cheese on top, and bake for a bit (I’m guessing 20 minutes at 350 degrees). This will make it a bit more like a casserole, and a little firmer than I had this time.

    Is there ever a time
    without killing or lying?
When (we are) the world is so brave
    and the heroes aren’t slaves?

    We get sick every day
It’s the world that we made
Time won’t heal all the wounds
    We are fools
because of the things that we choose.

Why is it our choice anyway?
    Only the weak fade away
    (are the ones dying)
    ‘Cause that’s their escape.
    The strong free their voices
    but have nothing to say.

What is it you see inside of me?
    Will the outside live eternally
    or fall apart, uncapable,
    unfaithful, unholy?

Scanpan Ergonomic 9-piece Chefs SetAfter moving into my first house, I decided I needed a good set of pans for the kitchen. I wanted something non-stick, but was very displeased with the couple random non-stick pans I already had. With most of them you have to use plastic utensils, otherwise the coating gets scratched and starts to peel off. Well, my pans were all peeling, so I’d end up with what looked like pepper, but was actually non-stick coating, in my food. I Googled around a bit and did some research, and found the Scanpan website. Their non-stick pans use a ceramic-titanium non-stick method that is bonded to the metal of the pan, it’s not just a spray on coating. I looked around and only saw good feedback about them, so I jumped in and bought the ‘Chefs Set‘, a 9-piece set of pans. Read more…

I’ve never had Artichokes before, so when I saw this recipe in an e-mail from Better Homes and Gardens, I thought “Hey, I should try that!”. I got all the ingredients, accept the baby artichokes, which I couldn’t find. I decided to try regular artichokes instead, which I boiled to make more tender, but unfortunately most of it was too tough. If you can’t find baby artichokes, use artichoke hearts instead, which can be found in the canned food section. Other than the artichokes being to tough, the rest of the recipe was good, very good flavor. The inner parts of the artichoke that were tender didn’t have a whole lot of flavor, so I guess I can say I don’t dislike artichokes, but so far I’m not amazed by them either. The original recipe called for this to be served over a slice of toasted Italian country loaf bread, I went without the bread.

What you wanted from your life

is to hide all your jealousies and lies

Bleeding your thoughts into my eyes

    You are tainted with everything

    But my sight…

    Beautifully Melancholy.
